Scholarship Fund established in memory of Wendell Huff. As a longtime resident of Columbus and a 47-year employee of Cummins Engine Company, Wendell and his wife, Wanda, proudly graduated three children from Columbus East High School. While an avid fan of all BCSC institutions, Wendell was a dedicated Olympian fan in all sports; both boys’ and girls’. Wendell had an unmatched work ethic, natural curiosity to learn something new every day, a competitive spirit and appreciation for others with a desire to explore and solve problems/challenges. His favorite athletes were the hard-working competitors who always did more to help their team and push themselves to improve personally. The Wendell Huff Memorial Scholarship is for varsity athletes at Columbus East High School who exhibit these same qualities: teamwork, desire for self-improvement, willingness to face challenges, eagerness to help others and a dedicated work ethic.
