Purdue Alumni Advisory Council Scholarship

Established in 2011 by The Purdue Alumni Advisory Council (PAAC), an alumni organization supporting the Purdue Polytechnic Institute in Columbus, to assist students attending Purdue Polytechnic at Columbus. PAAC promotes a variety of education and community causes.

Karen Ann Coffman Memorial Nursing Scholarship

Established by James Coffman in memory of his wife, Karen, who passed away in 2003. Mrs. Coffman served as a school nurse for 30 years and was Director of Health Services for the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation at the time of her death.

John McLachlan Soccer Scholarship

Established by members of the soccer community to honor John McLachlan and the many years of work that he has given to the soccer program in Columbus.

J. Albert Finkel and Irma Jane Finkel Scholarship

Established by a bequest from the estate of J. Albert “Al” Finkel, Jr. of Hope. Mr. Finkel was a 1941 graduate of Purdue University. Mrs. Finkel was a life-long educator in the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation and was honored as a Sagamore of the Wabash for her educational influence on children.

Columbus Rotary Scholarship in Honor of Judson S. Erne

Established by the Columbus Rotary Club to honor club member Judson S. Erne, former principal of Columbus High School, for his many years of devotion to Bartholomew County – within the educational community as well as the social services community.

Bartholomew County REMC — Alex Barkes Memorial Scholarship

Established by Bartholomew County REMC in memory of Alex Barkes. Alex was an employee of Bartholomew County REMC as a Network Administrator and exhibited outstanding qualities of a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Those who knew him will not forget his contagious enthusiasm for life.

Anthony Moravec Scholarship

Established by Tony Moravec, CEO of Applied Laboratories and Blairex Laboratories, to help further education.

Ann Ward Fine Arts Scholarship

Established in 2018 to honor the memory and celebrate the life of Ann Ward. Ann was a natural leader with a passion for giving back and helping others. Through this scholarship, Ann’s family preserve her memory by recognizing students who exhibit her values and her love for the arts.
