Keith Bean Medical Scholarship

Established by Dr. Keith Bean to help students pursue their medical degrees. Dr. Bean received the Bartholomew/Brown County Medical Society Medical Education Scholarship from Heritage Fund for three consecutive years and created this fund in appreciation of the assistance he received as a medical student.

Julie M. McKinney Memorial Scholarship

Established in 2000 in memory of Julie M. McKinney by her parents, Roger and Angela McKinney, to celebrate Julie’s love of life and love of the performing arts.

Jones Sisters Scholarship

Established by the four Jones sisters – Margaret Jones Baker, Beth Jones Newman, Amy Jones Weinheimer, and Laura Jones Thayer – to provide grants for broad educational purposes in Bartholomew County.

J. Howard Beam Memorial Scholarship

Established in 1994 by Wilma Beam in memory of J. Howard Beam. Mr. Beam farmed in Bartholomew County and served on the Heritage Fund’s Board of Directors.

Ivy Tech African American Fund Scholarship

Established by The African American Fund of Bartholomew County whose purpose is to inspire and equip people of these demographics in five key areas: Leadership Development, Health Awareness, Arts and Culture, Economic/Career Development and Education.

IU Columbus African American Fund Scholarship

Established by The African American Fund of Bartholomew County whose purpose is to inspire and equip people of these demographics in five key areas: Leadership Development, Health Awareness, Arts and Culture, Economic/Career Development and Education.

Homer and Mildred Crank Scholarship

Established by Mr. and Mrs. Crank, owners of Crank’s Greenhouse, from 1960 to 1988, to encourage young people to be interested in horticulture and related areas of study.
