Brown Music Competition coming Feb. 15!

The musical talents of local high school students will be showcased at our annual Brown Music Competition at Columbus Indiana Philharmonic’s Haddad Hall, 315 Franklin St. The first-place performer in each senior competition will receive a $3,500 award and may be given an invitation to perform with the CIP! Underclassmen will compete for scholarships for music lessons or camps. Independent judges from area colleges and universities will critique the performances. The instrumental contest begins at 8 a.m., followed by awards at 10:10 a.m. Vocalists compete beginning at 10:25 a.m. followed by awards at 12:40 p.m. Open to the public.
