Bartholomew County REMC — Alex Barkes Memorial Scholarship

Description

Established by Bartholomew County REMC in memory of Alex Barkes. Alex was an employee of Bartholomew County REMC as a Network Administrator and exhibited outstanding qualities of a strong work ethic and positive attitude. Those who knew him will not forget his contagious enthusiasm for life.

Criteria

Residents of Bartholomew County, or members of any Bartholomew County REMC household from Decatur, Jackson, or Jennings counties, who plan to attend an accredited post-secondary institution in pursuit of a technical certificate, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree.
Applicant must have a high school or college GPA of at least 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
