Thomas H. Sayrs Memorial Scholarship

Description

Established in memory of Tom Sayrs, who was passionate about all things engineering, and was a longtime volunteer with Science Olympiad.

Criteria

Graduating high school seniors who are residents of Bartholomew County (including students who attend schools outside of Bartholomew County) who are planning to pursue postsecondary education at an accredited vocational/technical school, junior college, college, or university on a full-time basis.
Minimum 3.0 GPA and pursuing a degree/certification in science or engineering.
Preference given to current participant in high school’s Science Olympiad team.
Additional letter of recommendation required from Science Olympiad team coach/advisor required.
