J. Albert Finkel and Irma Jane Finkel Scholarship

Established by a bequest from the estate of J. Albert “Al” Finkel, Jr. of Hope. Mr. Finkel was a 1941 graduate of Purdue University. Mrs. Finkel was a life-long educator in the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation and was honored as a Sagamore of the Wabash for her educational influence on children.

Ivy Tech African American Fund Scholarship

Established by The African American Fund of Bartholomew County whose purpose is to inspire and equip people of these demographics in five key areas: Leadership Development, Health Awareness, Arts and Culture, Economic/Career Development and Education.

IU Columbus African American Fund Scholarship

Established by The African American Fund of Bartholomew County whose purpose is to inspire and equip people of these demographics in five key areas: Leadership Development, Health Awareness, Arts and Culture, Economic/Career Development and Education.

Homer and Mildred Crank Scholarship

Established by Mr. and Mrs. Crank, owners of Crank’s Greenhouse, from 1960 to 1988, to encourage young people to be interested in horticulture and related areas of study.

Frank Burbrink Memorial 4-H Scholarship

Established in 2008 in memory of Frank Burbrink by his parents, Greg and Bonnie Burbrink, and family and friends to celebrate and honor Frank’s love of 4-H and the Bartholomew County 4-H Fair. Frank was a nine-year member of the Bartholomew County 4-H program and held various leadership positions on 4-H and the Fair Board until his death from a car accident in 2007.

Edward Jones Investments Scholarship

Established in 2007 by the Bartholomew County Edward Jones financial advisors to provide scholarships to help students pursuing a career in financial services.

Dr. Glenn E. Callaway Dental Scholarship

Established by friends and members of the dental community to honor the memory of Dr. Glenn Callaway, who practiced dentistry in Columbus for more than 39 years.

Dr. Cleve James Francoeur, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

Established by Mr. and Mrs. Cleve J. Francoeur, Sr. in memory of their son. A graduate of Wabash College and Indiana University Medical School, Dr. Francoeur practiced dermatology in Bartholomew and Jackson counties. He passed away in an automobile accident in February 2007.
