Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship

Established by Lilly Endowment, Inc. to help raise the level of educational attainment in Indiana, increase the ability of Indiana community foundations to enhance the quality of life for the state’s residents, and encourage and support the efforts of current and past Lilly Endowment Community Scholars to engage with each other and with Indiana business, governmental, educational, nonprofit and civic leaders to improve the quality of life in Indiana generally and in local communities throughout the state.

The Lilly Scholarship provides full tuition, required fees and a special allocation of up to $900 per year for required books and required equipment for four years of undergraduate study on a full-time basis that lead to a baccalaureate degree at any accredited Indiana public or private college or university. The scholarship does not cover room and board expenses.

Ivy Tech African American Fund Scholarship

Established by The African American Fund of Bartholomew County whose purpose is to inspire and equip people of these demographics in five key areas: Leadership Development, Health Awareness, Arts and Culture, Economic/Career Development and Education.

IU Columbus African American Fund Scholarship

Established by The African American Fund of Bartholomew County whose purpose is to inspire and equip people of these demographics in five key areas: Leadership Development, Health Awareness, Arts and Culture, Economic/Career Development and Education.

Hispanic-Latino Scholarship

Established to provide tuition and fees for undocumented and/or DACA Hispanic/Latino students who attend IU Columbus, IU Indianapolis, Purdue Polytechnic Columbus, or Ivy Tech Community College Columbus.

Columbus Youth Hockey/Bryan Ritz Memorial Hockey Fund (Varies)

Established by the Columbus Youth Hockey Organization and later designated in memory of Bryan Ritz, who died in an automobile accident in 1994 at the age of 17. Bryan loved hockey and participated in the Columbus Youth Hockey program from the time he was 5 years old.

Anna Newell Brown Awards for Vocal Excellence

Established by Mr. and Mrs. Robert N. Brown in memory of Mr. Brown’s mother, Anna Newell Brown, a distinguished vocalist who contributed greatly to the cultural life of Bartholomew County. Both Mr. and Mrs. Brown served on the Heritage Fund’s Board of Directors.
